The theme of the Semaine Québécoise de la Paternité 2025: “For my kids and my family – building a hopeful future here,” was developed based on what immigrant fathers themselves said as well as on the testimonies of the people who work with them. The slogan reflects the motivation of immigrant dads, who often invest a great deal of time and energy in improving the well-being of their children, spouses and extended family.

This year, RVP wants to create a public space where immigrant fathers can be heard; their realities better understood, and their integration into Quebec society better supported. To this end, RVP will be running a major campaign, June 9–15, consisting of 1) an online launch on June 9 at 10:00 a.m.; 2) a media campaign including the release of two open letters; 3) a social media campaign including video clips; 4) the posting of our partners’ activities online; and, 5) a Father’s Day contest for parents.

The campaign will include a support document presenting exclusive new data on immigrant fathers, points from scientific literature related to these new data, testimonials from fathers and children, and suggestions for better supporting immigrant fathers and their families.
